Autumn Jelly Exploration Recipe
Create a tactile, seasonal jelly sensory experience with autumn treasures—perfect for a nature-inspired sensory activity. Customize it with whatever the children find interesting, no matter the season!
What You’ll Need:
Gelatine or Vegetarian Gelatine(enough for your chosen container size)
Container/s: Use one large bowl or several smaller containers.
Autumn Finds: Leaves, conkers, flowers, sycamore keys, or any other natural items children enjoy discovering.
Instructions:
Prepare the Gelatine
Follow the instructions on the gelatine packet to dissolve it in water.
TIP: For a firmer jelly, use slightly less water than directed.Add Your Objects
Drop your chosen objects into the liquid gelatine. Arrange them as desired, keeping in mind that some may float to the top.
TIP: If you want objects throughout the jelly, you can make smaller batches and pour in layers, adding objects to each layer.Let it Set
Place the container in the fridge and let the jelly set for several hours or overnight for best results.Turn Out and Explore!
Gently loosen the jelly from the mould. Then turn it out onto a flat surface for sensory exploration.TIP you can dip the outside into warm water for a few seconds if it sticks.
