Make Frosty Paint...

This is a really simple set up that provides the children with opportunities to experiment with paint that will dry with a ‘frosty’ finish!

What you need:

• Epsom Salts

• Warm Water

• Food Colouring or Liquid Water Colours

What to do:

Mix the Epsom Salts into warm water until the salt begins to stop resolving.

Add liquid water colour or food colouring

Paint!

When the paint dries, the Epsom Salts crystalise and form a ‘frosty’ effect.

Alternative:

Mix the Epsom Salts with warm water (as above). Don’t add any colour. You can now paint this clear solution over the top of pictures or paintings that have dried and it will give a clear ‘frosty finish’!
