In the ever-evolving world of early years education, it's crucial that we, as practitioners, continually refine our understanding of how children learn through play.
This was the approach I was taught when I did my Fd degree in ‘young children’s learning & development’ back in 2010. However, when I used this approach in my daily work with the children, I was often been criticised by staff & parents alike as they think we have to teach them phonics etc instead.
I will certainly share this article during team meetings & training days.
